Nem sinal dele - Not even a sign of it |

This mansion includes the kitchen, the hovel, the basement, the shed and the ruins of a first stone hovel. These ruins, long ago, were conquered by the brambles, but by the end of the year I noticed the affirmation of three peach trees right in the center of the ruins. Poor trees, we thought. Let's give them a decent place to live.
Making
We had to weed out the brambles until we reach the trees. In the fight with the brambles I still remember seeing my father rolling on the ground after, or a missed strike of him, or the brambles nailed him.
With the way free it was now necessary to dig out the roots, which wasn't an easy task. The stones heaped up make things very difficult. Finally, with the tree in our possession, we went to plant it in a sunny and wide place, great for an orchard. After the hassle of digging up a tree, we ended up leaving the others. Fortunately.
Result
The sunny spot in the summer, dries a lot and as my presence was not enough, the tree dried up. I also think it got some sheep bites. The other two peach trees that we left behind are much bigger and already have peaches, although we haven't tasted them yet.
Improvements
Why did the peach trees grew up there? And why are they getting on so well? Questions I didn't do at the time. Although the site is not the most suitable, the brambles protect them from the sheep and the rocks protect them from the drought. These are the kinds of questions that must be asked in permaculture and not just move it there, because it's nicer. Nature is messy but wise.
I hope to recover the ruins but I'm thinking of leaving the trees where they are, in an inner courtyard, for example.
I lost a tree but learned something: sometimes it's better to be still.
